We took the largest portable bandsaw mill the Woodmizer makes, added a 28' extension, powered rollers, 9 extra toe rollers, a second chain style log turner and bi-plane clamp and bolted it solidly to a large concrete pad to make the ideal tool for crafting very accurate beams, timbers, and lumber.

We have added an entire outfeed transfer system consisting or an oversized powered rollcase with a 2 way chain transfer with lift. An outfeed chain transfer for finished boards and timbers. A set of dead rolls to feed our oversized board edger, and an outfeed chain transfer from the edger with a powered lift to pick board off the edger outfeed, automatically.
This allows us to process reasonable sized orders quickly and efficiently.
If you need your logs custom sawn, there is no small bandsaw mill that comes close to this automation. While we can put out 6 - 8 times the amount of product that a lot of smaller Woodmizer type mills can put out in an hour, we still have a very reasonable rate for custom sawing.

We start with Temple logs that contain very few if any knots, pitch pockets, shake or rot to craft select structural beams. As we trim these beams to size, we saw dimensional lumber daily from the trim cuts used to make these beams, so much of our siding and beams come from very high $$$ logs. Unlike the other mills that buy the lowest grade logs to cut costs.
We typically stock a range of high quality Douglas Fir, and Western Red Cedar in our log decks, but we can get almost any species if you have a special need.

The quality of our siding products is unsurpassed. Our clients are very happy with the products they receive. You typically won't find the products we make in a local lumberyard. Either in the quality or the sizes. Check out some of the photos in our gallery to find images of the large beams that are commonly produced at our facility.

If you don't know how to calculate prices, we are happy to help or give you a quote. Since all our orders are custom cut, we require a 50% deposit to confirm the order before we bring in your logs from a landing. Our main products are large, over sized beams and timbers. We generally saw very high quality siding from the side cuts as we bring these beams to size.

Beams or Timbers over 16" in any dimension
Custom Quote Required
Anything up to 32" in any dimension by up to 40 feet in length - Note for really large beams, there may be an extensive lead time just to source the ideal log.
Logs over 32" in diameter won't fit through any of the local major sawmills, so they are not commonly found in any of the local log yards. We source larger logs direct from the woodlands and typically haul them directly to our sawmill for processing.
Custom Sawing of your logs delivered to our mill
We can saw your logs into the cut list you desire. Quickly, efficiently and for a very reasonable cost. We do require that your logs come in free of metal, or you will incur a $35 blade fee for each blade damaged by a metal strike. We adhere to the 3 strike rule and after hitting 3 pieces of metal the log will be discarded and returned to you. Logs must have freshly trimmed ends and no major defects. Minimum length we will saw is 8 feet, and the minimum thickness is 1".
Logs 28" in diameter and under, and 20' or less in length
$0.75/ Board Foot
We will saw anything 20' and under in length with a maximum diameter of 28" and no major defects into items 2" thick or less for a flat BF fee as noted.
Beams or timbers over 2" thick, or logs longer than 20'
Custom Quote required
Our mill is set up to bang our 1" thick lumber products, and dimensional lumber to 2" thick, but longer beams and timbers, and larger sizes require a lot more work. As a result, it's a good idea for us to give you a custom quote before we begin to saw out your logs. It's typically far cheaper to saw them from your logs that ours, but we won't replace a log that turns out to be full of defects, as we would if we were sawing from our own logs.
Logs over 28" in diameter up to about 36", and 20' or with defects
$0.95 / Board Foot
It takes a lot longer and is far more difficult to break down large logs, saw around defects in the log (pitch, shake, rot, crook, etc.) or handle thicker products, so we charge slightly more per BF to account for the extra equipment and handling required. If the log will fit through our mill without trimming, we will saw it at this rate. If it needs to be trimmed to fit, there will be a charge to break down the log to fit, plus this sawing fee.
Massive Capacity Chainsaw Mill - IT'S HERE!
To help us break down larger logs and saw custom products we have added a custom chainsaw mill that is installed and running now.
Custom Chainsaw Mill
This mill has a 25 HP electric motor driving a custom ripping chain. It has electric motors to drive the head up and down, and it is powered along the rails.
It will be able to split a 82 1/2" log at any height, and will be able to cut custom projects up to 160' long. It should have the largest capacity of any mill in the area.
Custom Quote Required
There is a lot of work and equipment required to deal with oversized logs, but the items produced often have great value. We generally charge $200 for the first cut up to 10' long, plus $10/foot after that. Each additional cut on the same log is $100 up to 10' plus $10/foot after that. Ultimately is works out cheaper and faster than having a sawyer process your logs with a portable style chainsaw mill.
